The name Rudi & Bear comes straight from our family. Rudi is the name of my eldest son and "Bear" was the nickname we gave Barnaby, my youngest, when he was a baby. The name instantly felt right...warm, playful, and full of love.

Like many parents, I found myself searching for toys that felt special. I wanted pieces that were eco-friendly, timeless and made to encourage imagination rather than flashing lights and endless noise. Toys that children could truly connect with and grow up remembering. That's when Ned The Robot was born!

What began as a small passion project soon became something much bigger. I started designing and creating toys that reflected the kind of childhood I wanted for my boys, slower, more imaginative and filled with meaningful play.

Being based in Cornwall, we’re lucky enough to be surrounded by natural beauty. Living here reminds us every day just how precious our planet is, and that's why it’s so important to create products with care and consideration.

Sustainability has been at the heart of Rudi & Bear from the very beginning. We use sustainably sourced wood for all our toys and are proudly plastic-free! We also offer a recycling scheme for our packaging to help reduce waste.

We believe children’s toys should be made to last for years of adventures, storytelling and memories. By focusing on timeless designs and durable materials we hope to create pieces that can be loved forever!
